More than 5,000 men and women have died in the line of duty supporting military efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

This database contains their stories, presented both in tribute and as a memorial to their sacrifices.

The information presented here is based on data released by the U.S. Department of Defense and the governments of participating coalition nations. The service members' stories and biographies are compiled from various sources including the Department of Defense, the Associated Press and hometown news organizations.
