14 is not a bad position from which to sneak up on some cats. Let’s make this a very special visit for our guest this weekend. Those theater chairs in the Bres are a great place to watch a football game from.

Good point about the ranking SILA. Pre-season # 14 is a good place to work from with higher expectations. I hope our guest is comfortable and enjoys himself.

Spartan volleyball is playing Michigan. MSU won the first two games 25-20 and 25-17. It’s now 21-16 MSU in the third game.

Our guest gets one of the oversized luxury seats down in front. Time of bonding with the team after some spirited practice. Maybe one guest participation if that is allowed. Hold a couple of crystal balls in his hands. Try a ring on for size. See himself on the state of the art video equipment.

Will be at the LA Live Marriott Dec 2- 6 for meetings. Will the Lakers be in town then?

    • avatar Spartan in Los Angeles says:

Man, one night only the very first night you are in town , Sunday Dec 2.
Orlando comes looking for payback with Dwight Howard, there will be some serious attitudes in that one, after that the Lakers are on the road.

Wish I could get to my very favorite seat for that one! Canadian flavor should be pretty well integrated by then. Could be a regular season game to remember.

Looks like the window for no rain in the area of Comerica starts at 1:30 which is when you would have thought MLB would have slatted the final game of the Yaks 2012 post season to begin. Looks like the hole will last until past 6, so the 4 pm start may work, but to be sure they should have started it early. I’ll just say that I would never have taken off based on the forecasting/planning ability of the weather guessers/management types working for TBS and MLB (their combination specifically) Last night this same weather pattern was present and is doing exactly as anticipated, but for TV ratings ONLY, they chose the back end of the window, so be advised that if this game gets delayed again, it’s not a weather delay it’s a TBS/MLB delay. Here end-eth the rant.

I know that you read Off Tackle Empire, In this weeks power poll MSU has slid all the way down to 8. Coach Dantonio is portrayed as Denethor, Steward of Gondor. Is this description accurate in your opinion? Is MSU the steward rather than the King of the Big Ten? Are the Orcs with superior numbers which depress the far sighted Denethor a metaphor for Urban Meyers recruiting classes?

We didn’t get beat by anyone the Criminal Recruiter hired this year. we got beat because their QB made plays which he didn’t last year (which is better coaching or a gifted athlete making natural progress, your call). The kid over in AA hasn’t made near the progress as the one in CMB (again, either worse coaching – which I favor ‘cuz Pokey doesn’t know as much as the Criminal Recruiter about the spread – or an athlete having reached his peak – which also has merit, so in a2 maybe it’s that combination)

The cracker will be sent packing to AA this weekend…told not to come back til late Sunday night…he’ll have send in his thoughts on the Spartans kicking some Wolverine butt…

I think we have the attention of the football team I call Paris Hilton:

Yup that’s a Paris Hilton player wearing a Spartan look-a-like helmet, the scout team over there is all the rage.

I actually found somebody picking us, Bleacher report said Denard would beat them , that our defense would force Denard into mistakes. Went on to say that game would be much closer than ESPN thinks and picked MSU 20-17

It’s Michigan week and we have had a basketball post up here for about a day? C’mon Man!

This ain’t your daddy’s Hey Joe.

Nobody on either side is making any wild statements, they’re just going about their business.

Patience is a virtue and it does get easier as you age, so hang in there, Friday is pick ‘em day.

Tigers are under way, lock into that.
