MSU lands 2013 kicker

Former Boston College commit Michael Geiger is now headed to MSU.

Geiger, a senior kicker from Ottawa Hills High School in Ohio, tweeted Saturday that he had committed to MSU for the 2013 class on a full scholarship.

“@GoalieGiggs  Just Committed to Michigan State University on a full ride scholarship! #GoGreen #Spartans http://instagr.am/p/S_nG50wMNu/

Geiger is rated the No. 1 kicker prospect nationally by recruiting service Rivals.com, No. 9 by Scout.com and No. 12 by ESPN.

He originally verbally committed to Boston College in June but opted out of that after Frank Spaziana was fired and replaced by former Temple coach Steve Addazio.

With the graduation of Dan Conroy, Geiger could have an opportunity to play immediately for the Spartans.

Geiger is the 15th player to verbally commit to MSU’s 2013 recruiting class.

This is awesome ! With Conroy being a senior and struggling all year, getting the # 1 kicker in the nation is just what we need !

    Great find!

Hey Brian. Are the suspensions over for the group of women’s bb players? I thought it was 9 games. They sure needed some of them at Dayton. The fact that only 6 players played significant minutes couldn’t have helped in the second half. Sounded like they were winded.

Yes that game yesterday was the last one in the suspensions. Kiana Johnson and Akyah Taylor will be eligible to play on Sunday vs. IPFW.

Thanks Brian. Suzy should be pretty happy with the return of her primary point guard. Jasmine has done a terrific job, but you could tell she could have used a break. And Taylor should be a welcome addition. Nice to see Brandy getting minutes. It would also be nice to see our two ladies with ACL injuries recover well. I’d love to see Madison play.

UM’s unranked v-ball team beat the number 2 team Stanford, to move on to the final four! Way to go ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cousins comes in for RG3 at the end of the game, throws a touchdown pass, then scores the 2-point conversion to tie the game! Go Kirk!

Dad just called , he and his wife will attend the bowl game in Arizona.

Cracker tweeting about change in 1963, quite frankly I don’t think anyone who wasn’t alive in 1963 should be talking about what happened then: unless they have credentials that indicate their expertise in all things 1963. We know Cracker has no such credentials, ergo, shut up about stuff you know nothing about, Cracker.

But if he did that Marine than all we would get is the Western Michigan Beat 24-7/

    • avatar Spartan 81 says:

By the way what bowl game is that all word Western Mich QB in that was better than Cousins anyway, surely he beat Northern Illinois .

      • avatar USMCSpartan(Ret.) says:

Highlight of the Broncos year was they beat a DII team, the #80 (UConn), #85 CMU, 120(UMass), but lost to the #94 (Buf), #112(Ill) and #116(EMU) as well as the rest of their MAC schedule and Minnie. So I wouldn’t think their QB is going to get much Draft Pub., but maybe he’ll catch on somewhere. Cracker is, after all, a columnist for a widely read and respected news organization.

I see that he’s also writing about Bell leaving and dissing MSU at the same time. Figures.

In combat, guys like Cracker didn’t last long, but then again guys like Graham Couch and Mark Silverman would have never been in combat in the all volunteer Military (and neither is old enough to have been drafted) because the yellow streak down their spines is so wide it has consumed their souls. (Falling Skies reference). One uses a puppet to type his drivel, while the other types it where only the young, naive, and unsuspecting might be influenced (like Hitler pre Nacht der langen Messer)

Here’s a write up by somebody who does know something about football – unlike Cracker.

Ya see Cracker, he doesn’t mention the guy who transferred, who didn’t honor his word, who baled when the going got tough. (I guess you did because you wanna be all kumbaya with somebody of your own ilk.)
