The 2014 Big Ten football schedule has been released and Michigan State will host Michigan for a second straight year and face Nebraska and Purdue in its cross-division games.
MSU will open its conference slate against by hosting Nebraska on Oct. 4 and conclude it with a road game against rival Penn State on Nov. 29 in the Battle for the Land Grant trophy.
In between, the Spartans will travel to Purdue, Indiana and Maryland and host Michigan, Ohio State and Rutgers. They will have a bye on Nov. 1, right in the middle of conference play and between their games against East division opponents Michigan and Ohio State.
The 2014 season will mark MSU’s second straight of getting rival Michigan at Spartan Stadium.

MSU’s 2014 schedule is now complete. The Spartans are scheduled to open the season against Jacksonville State on Aug. 30, and will travel to face Oregon on Sept. 13 before back-to-back home games against Wyoming (Sept. 20) and Eastern Michigan (Sept. 27).
In other football news, MSU senior linebacker Max Bullough was named to the watch list for the Lott IMPACT Trophy today. Bullough was one of 20 quarterfinalists for the award last season after leading the Spartans with 111 tackles.
