Brian and I are finally using up the remnants of our vacation, but I wanted to wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and joyous New Year.
Derrick Nix earned Big Ten player of the week for his outstanding effort against Texas. MSU’s football team will be arriving in Tempe, Ariz., soon for the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl and the Spartans’ date with TCU late, late Saturday night.
Me? I’m celebrating turning 38 today (Dec. 24). My only solace is that Rexrode turns 40 in a week. He’s still older than me.

Can’t read it and wouldn’t. All I need to see is 3rd tier bowl in the headline and I know the bent of the article. If BWW is 3rd what does make the bowl WMU is playing in? Oh, that ‘s right, their qb who is better than Capt Kirk couldn’t get them a 6 win season, again. (as Sheldon would say, “is that sarcasm?)

Marine, I read it. While reading, I would get p_ssed, then take a breath and try to let him have his say. Now, I don’t want a rah, rah, everything is fabulouos writer (Joe isn’t) but this guy tries real hard to make a negative point. and stick in a barb I too, do not read his blog. From now on, I don’t read his articles either. This blog, and the articles about several of the men and women Spartans is the only reason I subscribe. If only there were another place.

yeah the kid had a down year but had a stellar career, it really is too bad, luckily TCU’s offense is slightly worse than ours.

Unfortunately, Baker’s motives may led to Gholston’s early departure … and may have contributed to lower TFL’s and sacks this season due to sleep deprivation? I don’t expect a lot of points. It’ll be a sloppy game offensively, mostly because the two defenses will be so stifling. Dantonio will get Bell and the running game going just enough early to get a lead, and then we will hang on as the defense holds firm time and again. It’ll be an entertaining, gripping game for a full four quarters.
