Michigan State has landed a recruit for its 2013 class.
Findlay Prep power forward Gavin Schilling committed to the Spartans on Wednesday afternoon. He choose MSU over Minnesota, UCLA and Villanova.
“I proudly announce that I will be playing my college basketball at Michigan State University!” Schilling tweeted. “Much love to all who supported me!”
Schilling, a 6-foot-9, 240-pound forward is averaging 13.5 points and nine rebounds for Findlay Prep, which is located in Henderson, Nev. He is shooting 67% from the field.
Schilling will join Matt Costello, Alex Gauna, Kenny Kaminski and potentially Adreian Payne in MSU’s frontcourt next season. The Spartans lose starting center Derrick Nix to graduation.
Here’s a little more quick reading for some additional info on Schilling.

Looks like a good fit. Well done, Coach Iz !!!
Just saw this tournament hype video for the guys. Don’t know about you, but it gave me goose bumps. Can’t wait for this tournament to start and see what Izzo and Co. have in store for us. Hope it’s one heck of a ride with some hardware and a banner at the end of it!
