Former Spartan Draymond Green makes most of extra playing time

Draymond Green has found himself on the court more of late with the injuries to Golden State’s frontcourt players.

The former Michigan State standout made the most of those extra minutes with the best performance of his career in a recent victory over the Brooklyn Nets.

Green, a Saginaw native, set career highs in points (18) and minutes played (38) and also grabed  10 rebounds to help the Warriors to a 93-86 win over Brooklyn on Friday. That performance helped Golden State win four straight games following the All-Star break.

Green is averaging 8.0 points and 5.4 rebounds since the All-Star break for the Warriors, who are four games behind the L.A. Clippers for first place in the Pacific Division.
