You would be hard pressed to find a more competitive boys’ basketball league this season than the CAAC White. In the six-team conference there was a three-way tie for first between Corunna, Lansing Catholic and Williamston.
Even the coach of Corunna, whose loss to Williamston on Friday allowed the three-way tie, can admit that there is something poetic about finishing the season like this.
“It’s probably fitting,” said Corunna coach Kyle Clough. “It was a good league. There were a lot of good teams and good players.”
Williamston forced the tie by winning its final eight games, including one over both Corunna and Lansing Catholic.
