Outlook: The Trojans do not have Charles Pollard as a coach for the first time since the 1970′s due to recent back surgery. Jones won her regional and took sixth at the Division 2 state meet in the 800 to make all-state as well as the Lansing State Journal Dream Team. Glew was second in the league in the 1600 and second in the honor roll meet in the 3200. Lee took seventh at the finals and made all-state and Division 2 all-area honorable mention in the 200 after coming in third in the league in the 100. Whitaker placed sixth at the honor roll meet and qualified for state in the 100. Tucker, Pryor and Jones return from the 1600 relay that won its regional and took sixth at the finals to make all-state and Division 2 all-area. Booth, Pryor, Tucker and Lee were part of the 800 relay that finished as honor roll meet runner-up and sixth at the state meet in the 800 relay to earn all-state and Division 2 all-area honorable mention. McMurtry, Glew and Jones are back from the 3200 relay than won the honor roll meet, set a school record and made Division 2 all-area.

EVERETT

Last season: seventh

Outlook: The Comets are looking to repeat as league champions, but should be challenged by Okemos. Lee won the pole vault in the league, and made Division 1 all-area. Hendler won the CAAC Blue high jump title and took sixth at the honor roll meet to make Division 1 all-area, and also came in third in the league in the 200. Snelgrove earned the league 1600 title and took fourth in the honor roll meet, and won the league meet 3200 and earned Division 1 all-area. Dible was regional runner-up in 3200 Division 1 all-area, Krista third in 3200 league. Lambie came in second in the league in the 400. Krupp and Hendler were part of the Dream Team 800 relay that won the league and took 16th in the Division 1 state meet and part of the Division 1 all-area 400 relay that won the league and honor roll meets. Hannah Orwat, who won the league in the 800 to make Division 1 all-area, was part of the Division 1 all-area 3200 relay along with her sister Lindsay.

HOLT

Last season: third

Schiro came in third in the league and fourth at the honor roll meet in both the 100 and 300 hurdles. Thom was league runner-up in the shot put as was Raven in the 3200. Wakeland took third in the 400 at the league meet, and teamed with Brunner, Alavi and Schiro on the league runner-up 1600 relay that made Division 1 all-area.

Outlook: The Panthers’ DeSira made the Dream Team in the 100 hurdles after finishing as regional and state runner-up as well as league and honor roll meet champion. She also earned Division 2 all-area in the 300 hurdles after finishing as league, regional and honor roll meet runner-up and 10th-place finisher in Division 2 in the long jump plus league champion in 400. Hanses made Division 2 all-area honorable mention after taking first in the league, second in regional and eighth (all-state) in the Division 2 state finals in the 3200. Hanses was also league champion in the 1600 and runner-up in the 800, D’Haene was league champion in the 800 and Rademacher was league runner-up in the 1600. The three were also part of the honor roll meet runner-up 3200 relay that took 13th in the state in Division 2. Majors took second in the league in the 200 plus third in the 100 and combined with Yesmunt, D’Haene and DeSira on the Division 2 all-area honorable mention 1600 relay. The first three also ran on the league champion 800 relay, and the first two on the league champion 400 relay.

FOWLERVILLE

Last season: sixth in CAAC Gold (2-5)

LANSING CATHOLIC

Sailar took second in the league and regional, fifth at the honor roll meet and seventh at the state meet in the pole vault, and was also third in the league in the high jump. Frost made Division 3 all-area in the 1600 and 3200 after winning the honor roll and regional titles and making all-state (fifth) in the 1600 as well as a regional runner-up in the 3200. Holtham wound up third in the league in the 100 as well as third in her regional in the 200, and teamed with Minniti on the Division 3 all-area 800 and 1600 relay.

PORTLAND

Last season: sixth

Grischke was league champion, regional runner-up and 12th at the state meet in the 1600 to earn Division 2 all-area, and Nemeth took third in the league in the 400.

Becker earned Division 4 all-area in the 3200 and all-area honorable mention in 1600 after taking first in the league and regional plus third at the honor roll and state meets in the 3200 as well as second in the league and third at regionals in the 1600. Elizabeth Thelen took third in the league and made Division 4 all-area honorable mention in the 200 while also finishing second at regionals and in the CMAC and fourth at the honor roll meet in the 400. Klein, Elizabeth Thelen and Brianna Feldpausch return from the state runner-up 1600 relay that made the Dream Team. Rebecca Thelen, Brianna Feldpausch and Becker return from Division 4 all-area and state runner-up 3200 relay. Savannah Feldpausch, Miller and Klein and Weber all return from the Division 4 all-area honorable mention 400 relay and the first three combine with Elizabeth Thelen on the 800 relay.

LAINGSBURG

Schafer made Division 4 all-area in the pole vault after taking third at league, regional, honor roll and state meets. Schmitt earned Division 4 all-area long jump and the 100 after taking first at regionals, second in the league and at the state meet and fifth at the honor roll meet in the long jump plus second at the CMAC and regionals and fourth at the state meet in the 100. Schmitt, who also was league and regional runner-up in the 200, and Kenzie Wieber also return from the Division 4 all-area and state championship 400 and 800 relays. Kenzie Wieber finished second in the CMAC and regional meets before coming in seventh at the honor roll meet and fifth at the state meet to earn Division 4 all-area honorable mention in the pole vault. She got the same honor in the 100 after taking third at regionals and in the CMAC and fourth at the state meet. Schmitz took third in the CMAC meet to earn Division 4 all-area in the 300 hurdles.

POTTERVILLE
