Baseball’s best beaten in Battle Creek by Lakeview

Neither Holt nor Grand Ledge won the Division 1 district title at Battle Creek Central today. The matchup that was supposed to be never even took place — thanks to Battle Creek Lakeview.

After the rain, plenty of honors

The 35th Greater Lansing Honor Roll Track Meet was delayed exactly 1 hour, 2 minutes. But once it started, some courageous athletes took on the elements and gave us some glimpses at 2010.

Of course there are plenty of them, especially this week. It's the busiest one of the high school year! But we're looking for something a little different amid all of the excitement.

Bad bounce or good, depending on how you see it

Maybe East Lansing deserved to win. Maybe it was only a matter of time before Grand Ledge's offense kicked in. Either way, the Trojans gave the Comets a scare before Grand Ledge won Thursday's Diamond Classic game 4-2.
