Pointing toward the playoffs

A handful of mid-Michigan football teams can clinch berths this week. But with so many now facing each other in CAAC crossovers and the like, the total that make the postseason this fall could be much smaller than recent years.

Volley for a Cure

The Okemos volleyball team will donate proceeds from Tuesday’s home game against rival Holt to raise money for breast cancer research and awareness. And Waverly has challenged the rest of mid-Michigan’s volleyball community to serve up additional support.

Best mid-Michigan girls golf ever?

I’ve been here only since 2000. But this fall’s golfers — in terms of both elite talent and depth across the area — are the best since I arrived. I’m wondering if other golf fans agree.
