EAST LANSING — If it wasn’t already, it’s become clear during Michigan State’s three-game losing streak that the Spartans need more from Keith Appling and Branden Dawson.
Wisconsin might arrive at just the right time. They were MSU’s best to players in the first meeting with the Badgers, Appling scoring 19, Dawson with 18 and 13 rebounds. Not just because they played well, but because of how they match up with the Badgers.
MSU is desperate for a feel-good home win and Appling and Dawson to simply feel good.
If the latter happens, it’s likely the former does, too.
