JENISON FIELD HOUSE — Granted, the setting is strange and Michigan State’s had plenty of distractions this week (finals and such, I guess).
But … that was some pitiful basketball. The Spartans lead 33-26 and it’s not as if Division-II Tuskegee is shooting lights out.
Branden Dawson’s five turnovers stand out, as does MSU’s 1-for-8 shooting from long range. Mostly, this was sloppy, uninspired play — the sort of immature effort that will really cost MSU against an inferior foe at some point this season.
More after the game. Deadline column calls.
