An abbreviated Michigan State football game week is underway, leading up to Friday night’s opener against Western Michigan.
And who throws, catches, runs and kicks the ball for the Spartans is still in question. Well, at least we don’t know it.
Mark Dantonio said the decision on a quarterback or QB rotation would be made and told to the players by Monday (today). Most likely, he’ll make that public to some degree on Tuesday during his press conference. We should also get a few other answers there.
There is plenty to read as you wait, however.
If you missed it, our MSU football preview section ran in the Lansing State Journal.
Here’s a link to the web version of the section, which features a terrific cover story on Pat Narduzzi by colleague Chris Solari, my column on the hope, doubt and intrigue facing this season and, perhaps most importantly, detailed game-by-game predictions from me, Joe Rexrode, Solari and Brian Calloway, among other elements.
As you probably know, I covered WMU for quite a while, including some of the players still on the team. I returned last week to get a sense how this crew is buying in to P.J. Fleck, their new, young, brash coach. Here’s today’s column on that.
If you’re looking for more on MSU’s first foe, the Kalamazoo Gazette ran its season preview over the weekend. Here’s a link to their coverage.
