Most impressive sporting acheivements … an ode to Miguel Cabrera

A little off topic today, but watching the Detroit Tigers’ Miguel Cabrera complete his Triple Crown season Wednesday night stirred the thought about the most impressive season-long achievements in sports.

In this state, other than Cabrera’s 2012 season, for me, it’s probably Barry Sanders’ 2,053 yards rushing in 1997.

What’s the greatest season you’ve witnessed?

And what the greatest single season in MSU sports history?

Lorenzo White’s 1985 season? Charles Rogers in 2001?

Or did it come in hoops? Scott Skiles in 1985-86?

Your thoughts?
